Attached Housing

By on November 26, 2018

Attached housing refer to housing that is attached to each other on at least one side, or many sides, via a shared wall.

This basically means that all types of landed homes that are not detached and stand by itself (like a bungalow) are considered attached housing.

This includes town houses, clustered housing, semi-Ds, terrace houses, etc.

When the term attached housing is mentioned, it is implied that it only refers to landed housing and excludes apartments in buildings.

Apartments are attached to other units by default.

So while they are also a form of attached housing by definition, the term attached housing do not refer to apartments in practice.
