Seisin

By on October 26, 2018

Seisin is a term used to describe the possession of real by property by a person or entity that claims to own a freehold interest on it.

This ownership can sometimes also be described as a life estate, fee simple estate, salable interest, etc.

This is as opposed to leasehold estates where an owner only has the right to ownership for a number of years before the lease expires.
