Branch Office
A branch office refers to an ancillary place of business other than the main or head office which is the principal place of doing business.
The area so called branches because they are like tree branches growing out from the main stem.
The main office is usually where the headquarters is located, and where the key promoters of the business is usually based.
Real estate agencies often operate branch offices as location and locality can often be necessary to serve local markets more efficiently.
However, it must be noted that these do not just serves as sales offices.
Branch offices usually have a branch manager or broker-in-charge. He or she would be responsible for operations and keeping it operating in accordance to legal requirements.
And each site usually requires a separate license of operations.
