Ejectment

By on January 12, 2019

An ejectment is a legal process meant to help a legal owner of real property repossess the property in question when there is no legal tenancy or purchase relationship between the two parties.

These legal action can occur when there is no lease agreed upon between landlord and tenant.

People residing in the property who are legally deemed as trespassers can also be subject to ejection suits.

The key difference between ejection and eviction is that in the case of the latter, there is still a legal tenant-landlord relationship between the conflicting parties.

In the case of ejection, there is no such relationship.

Ejection can also occur between home buyers and sellers when buyers default in the terms of sale and unable to complete the transaction in the manner agreed by both sides.
